Sliema BOV Branch

The branch in Sliema was the first project put into action for the rebranding strategy of Bank of Valletta. This flag ship project was set to serve as a guideline for the refurbishment of the subsequent branches spread across various localities in Malta.

The branch is located in one of the prime locations of the Qui Si Sana front and consists of two levels. The ground floor greets customers in a double-height reception area and directs them inside the branch towards a more intimate space dedicated to advisory meetings. On the contrary, the floor above functions more as a recreational meeting space for members of the Bank as well as a back-of house office space.

The scope of de Valier was to offer design consultation to the Bank appointed architects, supply the materials and deliver the project to completion.

The layout offered many opportunities to showcase our range of products. The frontage of the building is fully glazed, which made the branch a perfect space to introduce fully irrigated green walls due to the abundance of natural light and large-scale digital screens to showcase promotional material to people outside.

In addition, bespoke ‘advisory booths’ and ‘fast-track desks’ were built with high-end products to suit the different operations of the Bank.

Lastly, the most striking element of the brand were the introduction of new colours which were implemented with the use of linoleum. Being a versatile and durable material, linoleum could be installed in a haphazard pattern both on the floors and walls.
