A carpenter is responsible for working with wood to build and repair structures and other items and they also may have to select and source appropriate materials depending on projects needs.

Duties:
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Assisting with structural design, planning, layout and installation.
Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, cabinets, stairs and other fixtures as required.
Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials.
Ability to operate tools, machines and other equipment.
Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
Obeying and complaining with workplace health and safety regulations comply with workplace H & S regulations.
Collaborating with other design and construction specialists.
Qualifications:
Preferably one year experience in a similar role.
Able to communicate in Maltese and/or English.
Able to read and interpret drawings.
Driving license is required.
