Reporting to the Operations and Sales Manager, the selected candidate will ensure to achieve a smooth operation within the warehouse. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

Receive and inspect incoming goods and stock ensuring accurate documentation and quantities. 

Organise the warehouse storage space and ensure that goods are stored appropriately. 

Track, document, and address any discrepancies or damaged goods found in orders received. 

Plan daily schedules and delegate tasks to warehouse and delivery team. 

Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of customer orders. 

Conduct regular stocktaking to identify discrepancies and update the inventory records accordingly. 

Operate the internal software applications for inventory control, delivery and invoicing, monitor store stock levels and keep all records up to date. 

Monitor stock delivered/returned from project sites and issue documentation as required. 

Handle packing, labelling, and coordinate deliveries/returns with delivery personnel. 

Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance for equipment and fleet, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with VRT obligations. 

Operate lifting machinery and equipment such as but not limited to, tail lifts, palletisers and forklifts. 

Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and conduct routine audits. 

Undertake additional duties within the warehouse and logistics function as directed by Management from time to time. 

Qualifications:

Have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role. 

Ideally posses an MQF level 4 in Construction & Building Materials, Business Administration or related field. 

Possess a valid and locally recognised driving license for role related vehicles and equipment. 

Be practical and take a hands-on approach when required. 

Possess excellent time management skills. 

Be a natural multitasker and team builder.
